Vivre la jetée

Competition Fondation Bénéteau 2016

2nd price with Matthis Carbonnier

This district is an answer of the anticipation of the rising water. It is also a way to offer to the city and the inhabitants a new notion of shoreline. The project can be inserted in many cities. The project gives a new large park to the city. Depending of the place of insertion, diferent local materials will be used and the programs will be adapted to respond to the local and evolutive logic.

We have developed here the example of the insertion in the city of Vevey, in Switzerland. The project is placed in the continuation of the Grand Place, in the historical heart of the city, giving a new signification to this place. This will boost the city.

The base formed of floating cubes creates a dike and hosts technical parts. The peripheral part creates a path in direct relation with the Lake Leman, that also allows to join boats, and is a new belvedere. On this base are installed the park and on both sides, a covered space  with market, shops and school. Upstairs these porticoes, a two levels structure hosts 200 housings distributed by a passageway. Each apartment goes throught, giving view on the park and on the lake. A new scale of the collectivity is formed, for each 25 housings, there is a shared space for mutualisation and conviviality. Each apartment has at least 25m² of terrace. The structure allows evolutions and liberty in the implantation of many different typologies. In the apartments, thanks to the concept of thick excavated walls, a central large free space visually connects the park to the landscape.

Dziedziniec University of Warsaw

Competition 2019

Lead by Aleksander Nowak

This building for an administrative and hosting structure in the center of the University of Warsaw is surrounded by historical buildings. The treatment of the courtyard places the building as a connection throught topographical levels. The square reinterpretates the "egg" that was originally on the courtyard.

The building expresses its simplicity with a widely glazed and transparent ground floor and a simple volume of offices on the top.

I personally worked on some graphical documents and energy calculations.

Nereide

RIVA Competition 2018

Inspired by the mediterranean rustic interiors and furnitures, this project translates the balance between massiveness and delicacy.
Nereide is the name of the nymphs of the still sea. The notions of force, horizontality and femininity were at the genesis of the project. The regularity of the massive stratas refers to a monotonous deep seesaw, disrupted by the minor notes of the metal, as foam lipping the sand.

The materials used are the wood and the metal. The wood essences are either cedar either olive wood. Especially these essences because they rely to the mediterranean tradition, they are robust and timeless woods. They also have a real potential, when sculpted in, to reveal changing patterns. Sharing the same values, the two variations notwithstanding express very different identity. As shown in the preview of the project, the cedar version seems slightly industrial style whereas the olive furniture calls to mind a more classical aesthetic.

Un petit monde

Competition CNSA 2017

with Matthis Carbonnier

Project of a retirement home

We think that old people need, for staying wealthy and live confortably, a diverse and active environment. So the activity, the sociability and stimulation are at the heart of the project.

The project is an archipelago, mixing public space, nursery, housings, book shop, healing spaces and urban agriculture. All these activities enable the integration of the residents to the urban life, in an autonomous way.

The project, is located in 11th district of Paris, and links two major boulevards, bisturbing the Haussmann's urban fabric, it creates a large park.

The urban agriculture, on the roof, is at the same time, giving a bit of nature of these urban senior residents, stimulate them with this activity and giving a healthy and self-producted vegetables, we call it agritherapy.

Diverse typologies of appartments are provided for different levels of autonomy and couples.

The patios, terrasses and places are considered as meeting and conviviality spaces.
