Ariadne's green thread

Hyvinkää is a small town in the metropolitan territory of Helsinki, as many Finnish cities, it is characterized by its porosity. Instead of contradicting the identity of the place, our position was to densify and clarify this place while still emphasizing the quality and the potential of the natural spaces.

Our project ends up quite invisible with a diversity of interventions to create new pedestrian connections, implement new housing typologies in the forest or in the streets, densify the industrial workshops in the Rentto area and finally by creating a new plaza and a mobility hub on the train station.
